The problem: for all more experimental-themed art events, they faced a lack of interest — in Latvia’s already small pond, the audience for avant-garde film screenings is even smaller.

The solution: position the event not as a typical film screening, but as a third space — a place where people don’t just watch movies, but become part of a community. A space to find connection, conversations, and of course, cinema.

Lift the burden of expectation from moviegoers to watch and digest every film. Let them explore the world of short films at their own pace to discover what resonates.
Indie films aren’t just entertainment; they’re people and ideas, conversations and disagreements –that’s the real point.
2ANNAS is a place where people can spend quality pastime seeing more movies, people and opinions.
